Help Our U.S. Senators Stand Strong

With Republican majorities in both the House and Senate, our Democratic senators need courage and strength to oppose harmful MAGA legislation and administrative actions that violate our basic constitutional and civil rights. Regular calls and emails to our Senators Padilla and Schiff will strengthen our relationship by giving them feedback, asking them to support or oppose certain bills, and following up with them afterward to thank them when they follow through. We need to support the people working for us.

Tell Representative Kiley That We Are Not Happy - and Why

Our District 3 rep in the House of Representatives is Kevin Kiley, a Republican. He has already shown himself to be a loyal follower of Trump, and was endorsed by him in the last election. He is quickly falling in line with Trump’s Project 2025 policies and the dismantling of the government. Kiley needs to be contacted on a daily basis to let him know that we are horrified at what is happening in DC and how those decisions are affecting us in Nevada County. Tell him to come to Nevada City March 20 for our TOWN HALL!

We MUST constantly call and continually exert pressure. If you can’t manage daily, pick a day, mark it recurring on your calendar, and call weekly.

3. Call about ONE subject only, per call. Try to share a PERSONAL STORY - how is the issue affecting you or our community?

4. Call once per day, or multiple times per day with one ask for each call.

5. Leave a message if you can’t speak to a person.

6. If you can’t get through, try again later.
