Some Good News
Although the Republican candidate won in Tennessee's election,
Democrat Aftyn Behn dramatically overperformed expectations in the special election for the state’s 7th Congressional District, a district that Trump carried by 22 points in 2024 and that Republicans have routinely held by margins of 20 points or more.
What does this mean?
It is another piece of the exciting and optimistic trend. Democrats outperformed Kamala Harris’s 2024 margins by 16–23 points in other special House races this year. In November, Democrats won gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia comfortably, despite only narrow victories there in 2024.
People are overwhelmingly unhappy with the direction the GOP is taking this country. People are starting to pay attention and are realizing that the Trump regime is based in cruelty, corruption, and chaos.
But our work is far from over ...

As a member of this community, I am outraged that our local Representatives are hosting a job fair at William Jessup University in which ICE, Customs & Border Protection (CBP), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are recruiting students. As documented in video footage, these programs have engaged in lawless and harmful behavior. Their conduct has been one of terror - even resulting in death during pursuits and incarceration. Our youth need jobs and entry into professions that will offer them a promising future - not entry into criminal life!
